Every Church in Greater Spokane,
United and Ready for Crisis
Sunday Training Announcement
We have exciting news to share! Churches throughout Greater Spokane are coming together to form a church network in response to the fire crisis.
The new church network, United in Crisis – Greater Spokane (UIC-GS), is committed to meeting the short- and long-term emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of survivors affected by the crisis.
To help accomplish this mission, UIC-GS is partnering with United in Crisis (a global organization that helps equip and train the body of Christ to respond to crisis as a network of churches), and its founder, Daniel Geraci, will be providing three important training opportunities next week:
All Training this week will be held at…
Family of Faith
1504 W Grace Ave,
Spokane, WA 99205
New Volunteer Orientation & Crisis Intervention Training, Tues., Aug. 18, 5:30-9PM
This training will equip believers to provide survivors with the emotional and spiritual care they need during a difficult season.
Crisis Response Shepherd Training, Thursday, August 20, 6PM-9PM
This training will provide the skills, forms, and tools needed to serve as a “Good Samaritan” in the life of a survivor. Shepherding others is one of the most important ways Jesus calls us to love our neighbors.
Our church would like to walk alongside many families, and we need trained volunteers to help make that possible!
Call Center Training, Friday, August 21, 6PM-9PM
UIC-GS is launching a call center as a key resource for survivors. Volunteers will answer calls to the Survivor Hotline, providing information, guidance, and prayer.
This is a wonderful opportunity to care for survivors and respond to their needs. The role can be done from home as long as you have access to a laptop.
We encourage every member of our church to prayerfully consider joining this new church network as a volunteer. Together, as a unified church, we can demonstrate the love of Christ and bring hope, care, and practical help to those affected by this crisis.
